To give customers an opportunity to view its most innovative ranch single-family home in a maintenance-free environment, Epcon has begun construction of its Portico model at Fox Run in Plainfield.
“Our new Portico model is a great example of the 3 different stand-alone, single-family ranch homes that we introduced into Fox Run,” said Jamie Wilcox, of Epcon Communities. “No other builder in Illinois offers the lifestyle these new homes offer."
In an effort to give its customers an opportunity to view its most innovative ranch single-family home in a maintenance-free environment, Epcon Communities has begun construction of its Portico model at Fox Run in Plainfield. This stand-alone ranch home has 1,755 square-feet of stair-free living space and features 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, den and 2.5 car attached garage. A 455 square-foot fenced in private courtyard, a covered porch off the master bedroom suite, and architecturally significant ceilings throughout the home will also be on display when construction is complete. Although planned to be used as sales model, the builder would consider selling it, which has a base price of $219,990.
“Our new Portico model is a great example of the three different stand-alone, single-family ranch homes that we recently introduced into our Fox Run community,” stated Jamie Wilcox, developer/builder for Epcon Communities. “No other builder in Illinois offers the lifestyle these new homes offer. We are the only place for homebuyers to go to if they are looking for a single-family ranch home set in an extensively landscaped maintenance-free environment. This 100% unique home does not share a common wall with any other home.”
Some families have already discovered the stand-alone ranch homes in Plainfield and eight of them have already been sold. Phase 1 is nearly sold out and Phase 2 will see homes that can be moved into by this summer.
“With the pace of sales we are seeing in our community, we are encouraging prospective buyers to lock in on their preferred location for their home in phase 2 now, before it is too late,” said Wilcox.
The attractive Portico model, which has two bedrooms, den, and two full baths is scheduled for completion in April. The Portico’s living room has tray ceilings and a virtual wall of windows that provide views of the home’s private, professionally landscaped courtyard. The model also features a formal dining room with tray ceilings and a three-panel patio door that provides views of and access to the landscaped courtyard.
From the home’s kitchen, the chef of the family can remain part of conversations taking place in the living room or dining room because both of those rooms flow uninterrupted into the kitchen. If friends or family want to watch a meal being prepared or simply want to chat one-on-one with the chef of the day, there is a spacious food preparation island that has enough counter space set aside for three or four breakfast bar stools. To ease the preparation of meals, the stunning kitchen is furnished with Merillat cabinetry, a conveniently located food pantry, and high-quality GE appliances (gas range, dishwasher and garbage disposal).
This home also includes a spacious master bedroom suite with beautiful recessed tray ceiling and large windows topped by a transom window. The master bedroom suite has access to a large walk-in closet and a private bathroom furnished with a linen closet, an oversized dual bowl bath vanity with cultured marble top, and a large oversized shower with built-in bench.
The interior of this and every other home in Fox Run features ceramic flooring, full-size laundry room, central air conditioning, energy-efficient gas forced air heating, quick recovery 50-gallon water heater, and all rooms are pre-wired for cable television and telephones.
In addition to the single-family stand-alone homes, Epcon also offers ranch villa homes. These homes are set in a building that consists of four ranch homes arranged in a pinwheel format. Instead of being laid out four in a row like those found in a typical townhome community, Epcon’s unique, privacy sensitive attached ranch homes are arranged around a central pivot point, thus a homeowner only shares one common wall with its neighbors. With this arrangement each attached ranch home lives like an “end unit.” The result is a building, that when viewed from any perspective, looks like a high-end, large square-footage, custom single-family home. All materials found on the building’s exterior have been carefully selected to create a high-quality appearance yet minimize future maintenance.
At this time Epcon Communities, has a variety of attached ranch models for sale, some of which can be occupied within 30 days. They are the 1,137 square-foot Arboreta (2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 2.5 car garage) for $149,990; the 1,806 square-foot Ducal (2-bedrooms & den, 2-baths and 2.5 car garage) for $219,990 and the 1,744 square-foot Abbey (2-bedrooms, 2-baths, veranda room and 2-car garage) for $203,990.
Purchasing a single-family or attached villa ranch home at Fox Run also gives homebuyers the privilege of using the community’s private 3,000 square-foot clubhouse and heated swimming pool. Within the clubhouse residents will find a professionally decorated social room (with fireplace, big screen TV and a pool table), fully equipped kitchen, fitness center, shower-equipped restroom facilities and a meeting room.
Fox Run is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and is located off Route 59 and Dayfield Drive, one mile south of Renwick Road and one mile north of Caton Farm Road. For more information call 815-609-0150 or visit www.EpconCommunities.com.
